Infant and Toddler Program
Children are born with the desire and the capacity to learn. Through simple sensory and motor experiences, children discover the basics of intellectual understanding. In our infant/toddler rooms, teachers play music, rub backs at nap time and spend quality time with each child to help create a homelike environment to recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of each child's personality, culture and background. To promote language development and to support the infant/caregiver relationship, our teachers interact with the infants throughout each care giving routine by talking, singing songs and reading board books to the infants. Our teachers encourage infants who are beginning to crawl by providing balls to chase or low climbing structures to challenge and enhance their motor development. Our toddlers engage in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that promote their unique intellectual, social-emotional, sensory and physical potential. Teachers in our toddler rooms encourage children to initiate conversation through educationally enriching activities at open learning centers that incorporate special props and materials to enhance their development and educational experience.
